Founder and CEO
Michael has been an unscripted television Producer in the US and UK for over 20 years, working on various notable titles that have collected 7 BAFTAs and EMMYs between them including Big Breakfast, So Graham Norton, Ali G, Bar Rescue, Celebrity Big Brother and David Blaine ‘Above the Below’. From 2005 to 2009 he relocated to Moscow and supervised the roll-out of several international formats for Russian network TNT including The Apprentice, Faking It and Wife Swap. Since 2009 he has been based in Los Angeles and Executive Produced various shows for US networks. He has a masters in Philosophy and Psychology from Oxford University, where he developed a lifelong interest in human-competitive computer algorithms.
Andy is the founding head of the business development group for Nest Labs, and developed a channel of over one hundred enterprise partners which propelled Nest towards a $3.2 billion acquisition by Google. Previously, Andy was Director of Environmental Technologies at Apple where he worked closely with Steve Jobs and achieved various sector firsts including the industry’s first product design strategy for environmental excellence. With more than 18 years experience in consumer electronics and IT he has patented a number of innovations and published several articles in both environmental and energy publications and serves as advisor to early stage technology companies. He has lectured at Stanford, Berkeley Haas and Middlebury Institute for International Studies. Andy received the 2010 GEELA Award for Environmental Design excellence as well as Clean Production Action’s Green Chemistry Award. He holds a Master of Science in Environmental Technology from Imperial College in London.
TODD A. NELSON
Todd A. Nelson is an award-winning television producer and technology entrepreneur. In addition to investing in and advising Brainbaby, he is an advisory board member and major investor in Freebird Rides, an Uber-affiliated app that partners with local bars and restaurants to offer patrons cash back and earned reward points for every ride they take. He also is a co-founder and serves as CEO of 3 Ball Entertainment, renowned producer of television programming whose long-running series range from Bar Rescue and My Cat from Hell to The Biggest Loser and Beauty and the Geek, alongside myriad other reality and non-fiction shows for broadcast, cable and digital platforms.
Until 2014 Roman was CEO of TNT Network in Russia. Under his leadership the network became the highest- rated network in Russia in the 14 to 44 year old demographic, outperforming 450 other networks including the established state-run channels. Prior to TNT Roman was Chairman of CTC Network, guiding the Media Holding to a publicly listed increase in value of $1.7B. In 2010 Roman was awarded the prestigious title Media Manager of the Decade for his work in Russian Television. Roman now runs multiple networks for Gazprom Media holding and Storyworld Entertainment, a Film and TV Production Company in Los Angeles.
As a mobile tech industry pioneer, Katie was Vice President of Business Development at Shazam where she created and led the company’s mobile strategy. She is is currently responsible for SoundHound Inc’s consumer business, helping to shape the emerging voice-interface era. Having been recognized as the first western woman to launch a technology company in Japan, she has been named by Mobile Entertainment as one of the Top 50 Women in mobile content and the Silicon Valley Top 50. McMahon is on the Board of Directors of uBeam, a wireless power company, and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Lawrenceville School.
Developer and Equity Partner
Andrew is a successful software and mobile app developer. Through his spirit of entrepreneurship his company The Demski Group has built a team of dozens of software engineers and a highly respected client portfolio including Bank of America, HP Enterprises, Square, Verifone and Air BnB. Skilled in numerous computer languages he has a masters degree in cybersecurity from the University of Maryland University College.
Conrad is a television Executive Producer noted for his work on some of the most successful entertainment or reality television shows ever on US television, including the first 18 seasons of Dancing with the Stars. In 2001, after his success with launching Big Brother UK and Popstars, he was hired as BBC’s head of New Entertainment Development. Relocating to Los Angeles he has also Executive Produced My Kitchen Rules for Fox, and is Showrunner of The Gong Show on ABC. He has won BAFTA, RTS, Broadcast and Montreux TV Festival Awards for his work in the UK and been nominated for multiple Producers Guild and eight Emmy Awards for his work in the US. He has won People’s Choice, GLAAD, NAACP Image Awards amongst others in the US.
NICOLE ADAMS KRAUS
As a Principal and the Americas Practice lead in Heidrick & Struggles’ consulting firm, Nicole specializes in driving business success through leadership strategy and execution. Previously she has consulted with companies in US, Asia and the Middle East as part of Monitor Company, and was an early Executive Director of the start-up Amplify – a top ed-tech company serving most major school districts across the United States. Nicole has a BA in Psychology and French literature from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
Having graduated in Computer Science in Sydney, Australia, Riaz Mehta ran Asian operations for KAZ Group, Australia’s largest listed Technology company, before pursuing his creative and entrepreneurial vision to transform the media landscape in Asia. He is currently Founder and President of TV Production Company Imagine Group, as well as AllRites – a B2B marketplace for trading content rights. Imagine Group content has been nominated for an International Emmy and broadcast in over 40 countries worldwide including Asia, USA, Australia and Europe – a landmark first for a homegrown company in Asia.
VALE & SEB GENTA
Vale and her brother Seb are Instagram stars who were also popular Viners, with nearly 2 million followers on social media between them. Vale posted her first Vine in June of 2013 and surpassed the 100,000 follower mark on July 2014. She collaborated with fellow Vine star and globally recognized influencer Lele Pons on several videos. They were born and raised in Miami, while their family is from Peru.
Kiana has spent her entire career in the digital and social space, dividing her energy equally between the talent, brand, and agency sectors. During her agency lifespan, Kiana was head of the accounts of brand powerhouses like Bumble, Trip Advisor, Casamigos and Marriott. Kiana’s consulting work in the talent management, strategic partnerships, creative production, and digital marketing categories, for companies like Liquid IV, Gremly Media, and Nosotros Tequila position her well to strategize the growth of an LA focused brand.
